“The Bulls of Bashan”

At times it feels as if we are trapped spiritually, like the tribes of Yisraél when they had the Red Sea at their backs and Egypt, the most powerful nation of that era, entrapping them. And remember Elohim brought Yisraél to that place through His Word and by the hand of Mosheh His Servant. For all intents and purposes there is nowhere to go. Some thought within themselves and others murmured,” We are doomed!” Is your back up against the Red Sea? Do you have a mighty and aggressive enemy in your life causing you discomfort and doing everything in their power to make you afraid? Stand firm and do not waiver from the belief. It can be very scary and one might say,” But they can take my livelihood, or I can lose my job, or I can’t lose the people I love.” We as believers, most of us, all encompass these tough situations. Imagine having to stand up for your belief like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego whom were threatened and ultimately were thrown into the furnace for not bowing to Nebuchadnezzar’s idol. Or Daniel being thrown into the lion’s den for refusing to pray to a man/ foreign mighty one and continuing to Pray to Yah even after being instructed not to; or Queen Ester reaching for the king’s scepter even though it was not permitted. If you have not experienced these situations it is increasing likely that you soon will. Fear not! It is easy to stand when you embody the Ruach HaKodesh, the comforter, the down payment of our Belief. We learn from experience itself that whenever we as believers rely on our “self independence” and/or that infamous,” I can do everything by myself; I don’t need anyone or anything mentality.” Everything that I am and all that I’ve done is a gift from The Father of Lights. Mosheh reminds us never to think we have become wealthy and successful by our own strength but rather it is YHWH Who keeps His promises and remembers His Covenant. The verses below Highlight reliance upon The Holy One vs. self reliance.

Deuteronomy 8:17-18 (TS2009) you then shall say in your heart, ‘My power and the strength of my hand have made for me this wealth!’ 18 “But you shall remember יהוה your Elohim, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, in order to establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is today.

Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV) Trust in the LORD (YHWH) with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Proverbs 28:26 (LSB) He who trusts in his own heart is a fool, But he who walks wisely will escape.

”We find strength in His Refuge” more verses...

Psalms 20:7 (TS2009) Some trust in chariots, and some in horses, But we remember the Name of יהוה our Elohim.

Psalms 127:1 (TS2009) If יהוה does not build the house, Its builders have laboured in vain. If יהוה does not guard the city, The watchman has stayed awake in vain.

If YHWH is for us who can come against us. He alone is our source of strength in His Son, Messiah Y’shua, whom we have become heirs and fellow set apart ones. May my relatives be unveiled to this truth, “The Truth shall set you free.” As for me, I shall stand up with the bulls of Bashan all around me and YHWH my Elohim will deliver me because I believe in Him and it is in Him that I have placed my Trust. Your beloved one.

Amen
